Stewardship & Governance

How the foundation
holds itself accountable.

The Hastings Foundation is a young institution. We believe that a foundation asking the public for support owes the public a clear account of who runs it, how its money moves, and where its work goes. The information below will grow as the foundation does.

Trustees

The board of trustees is being formed. A roster, with biographies and roles, will be published here once seated.

Status. Forthcoming.

Legal Structure & Registration

The foundation is being organized under the laws of the State of Ohio. Application for federal recognition as a public charity is in progress; details will be published here upon determination.

EIN. Forthcoming.

501(c)(3) Status. Application pending.

Ohio Charitable Registration. In progress.

Financial Transparency

Annual reports, audited financial statements, and IRS Form 990 filings will be posted here as they are produced. The foundation absorbs its own administrative costs so that one hundred percent of donor gifts reaches programs.

Reports. Forthcoming after first full fiscal year.

Conflict of Interest & Ethics

The foundation maintains, or will maintain, a written conflict-of-interest policy applicable to trustees, officers, and key employees. Family members of the founding family are not eligible to receive program benefits.

Questions

If you have a question about the foundation's governance, finances, or operations, please reach out — we read every inquiry.

This page is intentionally complete in structure but incomplete in detail. As the foundation is formally organized, each section above will be populated with the specifics.
